Model LT2000 Laser Tube Cutting System for Small Tubes Available from AltaMAR Laser and Control

Minneapolis, MN December 15, 2005 - Today AltaMAR Laser and Control announces the introduction of a new product called the Model LT2000 Laser Cutting System for Small Tubes.  This system will be offered to customers who fabricate tubular components from round tubing with diameters as small as 0.125” or as large as 1.0”.

The LT2000 can produce completed parts in one process – end profiles and internal features are cut in one pass.  With the high-speed, flexibility, and excellent edge quality of laser cutting, the LT2000 is ideal for manufacturers and job shops who need the ability to produce tubular parts in quantities from a few prototypes to tens of thousands.   Targeted at medical, food processing, and electronics markets, the LT2000 will provide a fabrication option with more flexibility than conventional methods such as EDM or screw machines.

Model LT2400 Laser Tube Cutting System Available from AltaMAR Laser and Control

Minneapolis, MN November 18, 2005 – The Model LT2400 Laser Tube Cutting System is available from AltaMAR Laser and Control.  This system is being offered to customers who fabricate tubular components from round or rectangular tubing.  Capable of handling tubing to 24 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter, the LT2400 can produce completed parts in one process – both ends and all internal features are cut in one pass.  With the flexibility and excellent edge quality of laser cutting, the LT2400 is ideal for manufacturers and job shops who need the ability to produce tubular parts in quantities from a few parts to tens of thousands.   "We give our customers the potential for a large reduction in production costs due to the reduced number of operations required to make a part,” claims Daniel Martin, AltaMAR President.  "These laser cutting systems produce complete parts in one operation.  There is no longer any need to transfer parts from the saw to the drill to the mill during fabrication."
